The job of a Regional Manager can be very diverse and no two days are the same.  My time is spent on a variety of areas, from dealing with member’s day to day queries, which affect their farming enterprises to organising regional events.  We hold several on-farm events each year, which are well received and well worth looking out for.  If you have any suggestions for topics you would like meetings on, then please give me a call.

I plan to continue spreading the word of the excellent work that NFU Scotland undertakes on behalf of its members.  We also aim to encourage farmers who are not members to join our dynamic organisation. 

Aside from my Regional Manager duties I remain responsible for NFUS Tenants Working Group, an area that is of significant importance to a large proportion of membership.  I also remain responsible for the Tenant Farming Forum, in which NFUS is represented.  

I hope you will never feel stuck with a farming problem that you may have; we are always on hand to help you, no matter how big or small your query may be.

I thoroughly enjoy my time at NFUS and get great support from the members and staff in the region who have contributed to that.  I look forward to working with you all in future.
