Forth & Clyde

Can I introduce myself as the Regional Manager for Forth & Clyde Region? As an Ayrshire lassie born and bred, I will probably know many of you already, as the neighbouring region to Ayrshire, which I also look after. I am now in my twelfth year working with NFU Scotland, Nine years as a Group Secretary in the Ayr office, and now in my third year as Regional manager, having previously covered Lothian & Borders Region.
As a farmer’s daughter, and having always worked in agriculture, you can be rest assured that you will always get a common sense and down to earth approach from me!
This year, as well as helping existing members with the day-to-day issues that affect your farming enterprises, I hope to spread the word of the good work that NFU Scotland does on behalf of all farmers. Along with the Group Secretaries, Regional Board Members and Branches, we aim to encourage farmers who are not members to join our progressive organisation.
The region holds a number of on-farm events which are well received, and we hope to continue with a similar format. If you have any suggestions or ideas of topics you would like meetings on, then please feel free to give me a call.
Please also remember never to be stuck with a farming problem that you may have, we are always here and on hand to help you, no matter how big or small your query may be.
