      POLICY MANAGER

NFU Scotland is Scotland’s lead agricultural organisation representing farmers, crofters and growers the length and breadth of the country.   We influence policy at the highest level to ensure the long-term viability of farming.

If you have a strong desire to further the interests of Scottish farmers, you could be the person we are looking for.   Working out of our Edinburgh head office, you would join our policy team who influence policy makers in government, industry and other organisations for the benefit of our members and their businesses.

We are looking for someone to join our livestock team.   You will be involved in all livestock policy work and lead on dairy issues.

You should be qualified to Degree or Diploma level with some knowledge of farming and rural issues in Scotland. Ideally you should have a proven track record in policy development and representation.   In addition to having strong intellectual skills you must be able to work as part of a team and be capable of working under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

The rewards include a salary commensurate with experience, 38 days total holiday a year and a contributed pension.
