Forth & Clyde

Lisa Roberts

Lisa Roberts

Forth and Clyde is a vast region which stretches from Abington in the South to Tyndrum in the North.  The varied terrain leads to a huge diversity in farming activity; from the intensive dairy farm to the remote hill unit.  However, no matter what type of farming you undertake, NFU Scotland represents you and your business and we are here for you.

2017 brings a new chairman for the region, Willie Harper from Renfrewshire, with lots of ideas and enthusiasm. He will be working with your regional representatives and group secretaries to ensure NFU Scotland’s message is passed down to the membership and that your priorities and issues are fed back up the chain to head office.

This year will once again undoubtedly have its challenges, not least looking forward to the impact of Brexit and the implications for Scottish agriculture once Article 50 has been triggered. Your Union is and will continue to represent you and your business at the highest level in the corridors of Holyrood, Westminster and Brussels.

I will be out and about around the region throughout the coming year and I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible, whether this be at the local shows, regional events or branch meetings. However, please remember that we are here to help and get in touch at any time if you need help, information or support.
