Current Vacancies

Perth- Senior Agent

NFU Mutual, an industry award-winning Insurance and financial services provider and the NFU Scotland, who represent some 8,500 farmers and crofters across the country, have an exciting opportunity for a joint role as an Insurance Business Partner (with NFU Mutual) and a Group Secretary (with NFU Scotland), at our Perth branch.

Our ideal candidate will excel at building trusted, long-term customer relationships and enjoy working within the local agricultural community. You’ll also have a pro-active, commercially astute approach to managing a business. It would be beneficial if you have experience of working in or with the Insurance or Agricultural industries but it’s not essential and won’t hold you back from potentially becoming an Agent.

As well as being able to develop and grow a customer base, you’ll demonstrate a dynamic, forward thinking leadership approach to the team within the branch. You and your team will be working in partnership, selling NFU Mutual’s award-winning products, while championing Scottish farming and promoting NFU Scotlands's range of membership services. The NFU Scotland provides unrivalled assistance to support farmers, growers and champions Scottish Farming. You will be a key member of the local community and the point of contact for advice, expertise and help.

NFU Mutual’s attentive, personal and local service is what makes us so different and it’s our Agents/Group Secretaries and everyone within our network who contribute to this. With the support of NFU Mutual and NFU Scotland behind you, you will benefit from high retention rates and an established business. At every stage, we’ll help you to be the very best that you can be.

With this combination we would expect by the end of your first year that your commission income would be up to £50,000. However it does not stop there, as your income will grow as you develop and expand your agency.

Closing date: 5th June 2017
Assessment Centre: 15th June  2017  (located at NFU Mutual Glasgow RSC).
Second stage interviews: TBC  (location TBC).

Please note you’ll be working on a self-employed basis and will not be directly employed by NFU Mutual.
