New climate change guidance released from the Scottish Government is encouraging all public bodies to consider it their duty to procure food in a sustainable manner.  The move has been warmly welcomed by NFU Scotland.

NFUS Issues Reminder on Double Tagging Rules

NFU Scotland is reminding farmers of the rules regarding the tagging of store lambs.  As the autumn markets get under way, it has been noticeable that a number of farmers are bringing store lambs to market with a double tag as standard.  In many cases, a single electronic slaughter tag may be all that is required, avoiding unnecessary double tagging.
