Union Makes Posthumous Award to Scotsman Journalist

Well-known Scottish agricultural journalist, Dan Buglass, who died in October 2009 was posthumously honoured with the NFU Scotland Ambassador Award at the Union’s AGM in St Andrews today (Friday, 19 February). Dan’s son, Andrew, collected the award.

Bull Scheme’s Future Commitment Welcomed

Need to Tackle Neglect in Crofting Bill Proposals

In commenting on the Crofting Reform (Scotland) Bill, NFU Scotland has welcomed the significant improvements written into the Bill since its draft publication in May 2009 but has also highlighted the need for the bill to better tackle key issues such as croft abandonment and neglect.
