Changes Made to Some CAP Consultation Dates

NFU Scotland re-arranges first three meetings due to CAP Reform consultation delay

NFU Scotland has taken the decision to re-arrange the first three of its CAP Reform consultation meetings which were scheduled to take place for Monday 2 December in Ayr and Castle Douglas, and Tuesday 3 December in Carfraemill.

This decision has regrettably been taken in light of the delay in the publication of the Scottish Government’s consultation on CAP Reform.

NFU Scotland’s Director of Policy Jonnie Hall said: “It is vital that all members have an opportunity to hear the details and have their say. So it was a necessity to re-jig our consultation meetings at the start of December so that we can fully engage with all of our members about the changes to direct farming payments that will affect all farm businesses.”

The Ayr meeting will now take place on Wednesday December 11 at 7pm with the Castle Douglas meeting rescheduled for 7pm on Monday 16 December.  The Carfraemill consultation date has also changed and will now take place on Monday 9 December at The Lodge.

All other meetings will remain as scheduled.

The revised timetable is as follows:

Monday 9 December,  7pm,  The Lodge, Carfraemill
Tuesday 10 December,  7pm,  Huntingtower Hotel, Perth
Wednesday 11 December, 12pm, Garfield Hotel, Stepps
Wednesday 11 December, 7pm, Western House Hotel, Ayr
Thursday 12 December, 1pm, Thistle Hotel, Inverness
Thursday 12 December, 7pm, Lochter Activity Centre, Oldmeldrum
Friday 13 December, 1pm, Tarbert Village Hall, Tarbert
Monday 16 December, 7pm, Urr Valley Hotel, Castle Douglas
Tuesday 17 December, 7pm, Lerwick Hotel, Lerwick
Wednesday 18 December, 12pm, Ayre Hotel, Kirkwall
