Enabling farmers and crofters to drive more profitability into their businesses through maximising their environmental credentials will be the focus of the NFU Scotland Autumn Conference on Thursday 24 October.

The event will see a strong mix of politicians, industry experts, farmers, retailers and the whisky sector address the audience. NFU Scotland members are urged to register in advance for this free to attend event by 5pm on Tuesday 22 October using

NFU Scotland Chief Executive John Davidson said, “We know that the environmental credentials of Scottish farming and crofting are amongst the most respected worldwide. That is something our sector can be incredibly proud of, but how does that translate into the profitability and sustainability of those businesses?

“We are delighted to have attracted a tremendous mix of inspiring speakers from farming, research, politics, manufacturing and retailing to drive what will be a lively discussion and debate.  I look forward to welcoming everyone who can attend the conference at Ingliston later this month.”
