Industry leading speakers lined up for Scottish Dairy Hub and Kite session on 22 November.
With milk prices under significant pressure, the dairy sector will get an opportunity to discuss the short and long-term outlook at AgriScot, the premier one-day agricultural event being held at Ingliston, Edinburgh on 22 November 2023.
The Scottish Dairy Hub and Kite Consulting are running their popular question and answer seminar at 1pm when David Keiley, Senior Consultant at Kite will be co-chairing this year’s debate with Tracey Roan, Manager of the Scottish Dairy Hub and Dairy Policy Manager at NFU Scotland.
This year’s expert panel includes George Burgess, Director of Agriculture & Rural Economy at Scottish Government; Sally Williams, dairy farmer and Vice Chair of the NFUS Milk Committee; Drew Sloan, Senior VP at Semex; journalist and market analyst Chris Walkland and Neil Wilson, SAB Advisory Ltd.
As in previous years, there will be an opportunity for dairy farmers and stakeholders to bring along their probing questions for the panel and listen to the latest market intel. There is also the opportunity for questions to be submitted in advance by emailing info@scottishdairyhub.org.uk marking the email AgriScot 2023.
Looking forward to the event, Tracey Roan said: “The Scottish Dairy Hub’s key role is to answer the questions of dairy farmers. Through this event, which grows in popularity each year, we want to give milk producers an opportunity to ask quiz key industry figures that they may not normally have access to. Collaborating again with Kite will ensure a highly informative event for all.
“Aside from the current pressure on prices and margins, there are some big issues on the horizon for dairy farmers in Scotland and this is a fantastic opportunity to understand and discuss these with an expert panel.”
