Lindsay Brown Takes on NFUS Lothians and Borders Regional Manager Role

NFU Scotland will retain its high level of service for its members in the Lothians and Borders whilst Regional Manager Kerry Clark is on maternity leave. Lindsay Brown, who farms in East Lothian, started with the Union in January and has been working alongside Kerry before officially taking over from tomorrow (Friday 1 March).

This will allow a single point of contact for members in the region and ensure communication flows in both directions between members and head office as well as co-ordinating with external stakeholders and supporting activity in the region.

With a robust understanding of farming issues and day to day life as a farmer, Lindsay has already been assisting with member queries and has a range of events and meetings planned for the year ahead. Members should look out for a postcard with details of these, and Lindsay’s contact details, coming through the post soon.

Teresa Dougall, Director of Regions for NFU Scotland commented: “Lindsay is a great addition to the regional team and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge of the industry. She will be supported by our other regional managers as well as the policy managers and the rest of the team at head office but has already settled in very well and I know Lindsay is keen to meet members and help tackle issues.”
