The week long online promotion coincides with Quality Meat Scotland’s Wham Bam Thank You Lamb campaign this year.

#LoveLambWeek, which runs from 1 September to 7 September, is a nationwide celebration of our fantastic lamb industry. The campaign is running simultaneously with Quality Meat Scotland’s ‘Wham Bam Thank You Lamb’ lamb promotion campaign which is already underway and will run until October.

QMS’s campaign will promote Scotch Lamb PGI through newspapers, outdoor posters, online and on the radio as well as in supermarkets and independent retailers.

Martin Kennedy, NFU Scotland Vice President said: “Farmers and crofters are rightly proud of what they produce, and campaigns like these provide a great platform for us engage with shoppers across Scotland and the rest of the UK, underlining the passion that sheep farmers have for putting quality food onto our nation’s tables.

“At this time of year, Scottish lamb is at its tastiest and most plentiful. This is a chance for people to try this succulent meat and support Scottish farmers by buying our produce.

“We give our full backing to #LoveLambWeek and the ‘Wham Bam Lamb’ campaign.  Past experience has always seen us get a great response from shoppers who really appreciate how a quality product like lamb is produced and the hard work that goes in from those farmers and crofters who are at the very beginning of this iconic Scottish food chain.”
