Cabinet Secretary Mairi Gougeon MSP to headline conference on the future of Scottish farming.
NFU Scotland will bring together leading voices in science, policy, and food production at its Autumn Conference and Council Meeting, taking place on Thursday 23 October 2025 at the Royal Highland Centre, Ingliston.
Under the theme “Science and Innovation”, this year’s conference will explore the cutting-edge technologies, research, and market trends shaping the future of Scottish agriculture. From digital livestock tracking to low-carbon farming, delegates will hear how innovation can help solve the major challenges facing the sector and unlock new opportunities.

Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs, Land Reform and Islands, Mairi Gougeon MSP, will open the conference, addressing how government and industry can work together to support a more resilient, sustainable farming sector.
