NFUS Stockjudging Raises Cash for Cancer Charity
Participants in a NFU Scotland charity stockjudging evening have raised £1,590 for Cancer Research UK.
The Clark family of North Garngour Farm at Lesmahagow kindly agreed to host the evening and were pleased to welcome 160 members and young farmers to their farm to take part in a stockjudging competition and enjoy a BBQ.
Christine Cuthbertson, Regional Manager for Forth & Clyde Region, said:
“We were overwhelmed by the generosity of the farmers who came along to our stockjudging event, and are very grateful to the Clark family who hosted for us. We were delighted to be able to hand over such a significant sum of money in support of Cancer Research UK and their work in Scotland.”
Tom French, Vice Chairman of Forth & Clyde Region, and Clydesdale Branch Secretary Nicky Brown, presented the cheque to the Lanarkshire Cancer Research Chairman, Eric Rastall. All the money raised will be utilised within Scotland.
