Policy Update

Working to influence politicians, civil servants, regulators, businesses and non-governmental organisations, our expert team of policy managers ensure the interests of NFU Scotland members are heard in all relevant discussions and debates.

Each policy manager works closely with their relevant committee chairman and members. They have an extensive network of local, national, and international contacts they interact with regularly to make sure the information and knowledge they possess is as up to date as it can be.

Working alongside the policy team is a dedicated parliamentary officer, providing a link between the Union and politicians in Westminster, Holyrood and Brussels. This facilitates regular and productive dialogue between NFU Scotland and politicians, and ensures that Union policy is at the forefront of political discussion and debate.
