Argyll & the Islands
The Argyll and the Islands region is extensive and diverse, from Arran in the south to Lochaber in the north, and Argyll and Bute in between, the area includes 28 inhabited islands and covers 1.2 million hectares. This can bring both opportunities and challenges for NFU Scotland to support our members in the region. However, with the excellent support of volunteers in the local branches, our network of local Group Secretaries, your dedicated Regional Manager and access to improved technology, we are here to support and assist all members within this region.
Running online meetings has helped us keep in better contact with our island members and those living in the more remote parts of the mainland. We are now able to host events, and enable members to take part, which they otherwise would not have been able to. We have an active NFU Scotland - Argyll & the Islands Facebook page – please like and share across your networks.
Your support is very much appreciated, and with it, we can be a strong voice for Scottish Agriculture. If you are faced with a farming or crofting challenge, whatever it might be, please get in touch. We are always on hand, no matter how big or small your query may be – we are here to help.
