Argyll & the Islands
Lauren Worrell

As Regional Manager for Argyll and the Islands, the role is a diverse one. Primarily the Regional Manager, along with your local Group Secretary, are here to support and assist members within the region. I as your Regional Manager will work closely with the Regional Board Chair, Duncan Macalister, together with your branch representatives.
The coronavirus pandemic continues to impact how we operate both nationally and regionally. All of our regional board and branch meetings have had to be held online. This is likely to continue through most of 2022 though we will endeavour to arrange in-person meetings when we are able to. Locally in the Argyll & the Islands region we have continued to be in contact with the relevant local authorities, and other stakeholder organisations, to make them fully aware of all the impacts that both the pandemic and Brexit are having on the agricultural community. We will continue this in the coming year.
NFU Scotland - Argyll & the Islands also has an active Facebook page, which I would encourage all members to like and share. As always I am keen to get out and about across the region as much as possible to meet members and help you with any specific issues or concerns that you have.
If you need assistance with any specific issue, or you have concerns that you want to raise, please contact me or your Group Secretary – we are here to help.
