Submitting Personal Details

You do not need to provide any personal data simply to browse much of our website. However, you will be asked to submit some personal details if you wish to enter our Members' Area.

On these occasions, we only ask for a limited amount of information in order to confirm that you are a member of NFU Scotland. We will only send you further details if you have given us permission by ticking the contact via email and contact via text message option when registering.

We never ask for more information than necessary or disclose any of your personal details to any third party unless you have given us explicit permission. (Please note: we reserve the right to cooperate with law enforcement officials and have no legal liability for such disclosures).

We always:

  • Keep your details up to date and accurate
  • Protect all your personal data from access by unauthorised parties
  • Provide you with full details of any data we store about you on request
  • Information we may collect from you


We may collect and process the following data about you:

  • Information you give us. You may give us information about you by filling in forms on our site or by corresponding with us by phone, e-mail or otherwise.
