NFU Scotland Roadshow coming to Forth & Clyde region to Debate Future Agricultural Policy
Farmers and crofters invited to attend event on 7 June at Garfield Hotel, Stepps
NFU Scotland are on the road with a series of 12 events to discuss future agricultural policy in Scotland.
The events – taking place in Shetland, Orkney, Skye, Inverurie, Stepps, Carfraemill, Castle Douglas, Dingwall, Perth, Kilmarnock, Campbeltown and Oban – invite farmers and crofters to discuss Scotland’s transition from a post-Brexit, post-Common Agricultural Policy support framework to a new agricultural policy in Scotland, expected to be in place by 2025.
All NFU Scotland roadshow events will be attended by President Martin Kennedy and Director of Policy Jonnie Hall.
Ahead of the roadshow in Stepps next week, Regional Manager for Forth & Clyde Lisa Roberts said: “We look forward to welcoming members to hear the latest update from Martin and Jonnie on the progress towards the new future support system for Scottish agriculture. It is important that our diverse regions views are heard.” Ends.
